The Canadian Reptile Breeders Expo

Today I went with the hubby to the Canadian Reptile Breeders Expo (CRBE).  As I mentioned in one of my first posts, my husband has a thing for snakes, and reptiles in general.  Fine with me, because it gives me some great photography moments.

Here are a few of my faves from the show today:

Baby Savanah Monitor checking out the show from his home for the weekend.  Makes you wonder who’s more entertained, him or us?

This is an upclose of an adult Savanah Monitor – he just looks like he’s ready to eat my camera…

A Boa who seems very interested with his reflection… guess he sees something pretty!

The great thing about these shows is you get to see so many other interesting creatures.  One group that is at quite a few different types of shows in the Toronto area is Hands on Exotics; this is a great group that does therapy and education (shows, birthday parties, etc.) with a large variety of animals – they had a baby kangaroo today, but I didn’t see it to get a photo.  This is one of the many parrots that they use in their work, a Cockatoo (sorry, don’t know the type, but I’m thinking Moluccan…):

This was a very fun, but looong day 🙂
