I had the great opportunity to shoot some family photos for a cousin of mine. She and her family are great to work with – they love to have fun, tease each other, and well, try out pretty much anything I asked them to do. Unfortunately, the day we chose to shoot turned out to be colder than any other day that week (go figure!) so we were rushed to get the outdoor portion of the shoot done. We went back to their place after to do some lifestyle shots of the family hanging out and having fun. Here are just a few of the photos I took that day. Can’t wait to shoot them again!
As mentioned in my post yesterday, I had my first photo shoot, and I wanted to share a few of the photos from that.
My cousin Emina and her husband, Mike, are due to have their first baby early this month – within the next week or so! She asked if I could do an outdoor maternity shoot for her, and of course I said yes! I’ve been wanting to do photo shoots for people for a while now, so I was very excited to get the opportunity. Okay, I was pooping my pants leading up to it – what if I did a poor job, what if they hate the photos, what if I just don’t know what I’m doing and I mess up royally?! Needless to say, when I got home I pulled the memory card out of the camera, tossed it at my husband and told him to be honest about just how bad they were – I’m incredibly hard on myself, and I work every day to try and build up confidence in my abilities.
We went out for several hours in the evening, and checked out my new favourite spot (read about that here) and the waterfront park. I haven’t had a chance to look through all the photos yet (there are a ton of them!), but these are merely a few that I did get a peek at. Emina and Mike – thanks for the wonderful opportunity to do this shoot for you. I hope that the love and happiness you obviously feel towards each other are showcased in these photos.
So, I thought I’d post off my phone this time, of a pic of me and the hubby snoozing away. I played around with it in instagram, and really liked the end result!
